I am sure this is dumb question, but what does recycle your animals mean? I know it is from fight club and I know the rules........kinda...let me know.

I see it as an attack to the consumer society that we are. Unhappy with the brutal consumption of inanimate objects, some often consider pet animals like a commodity. If you are going to throw away your stupid cat, the least you could do is to recycle it. A terrifying vision, isn't ?

Thank you for the insight.

You fools. It's about eating your animals. When you can't pay the rent and you still need to feed your kids, feed them Kitty. When your cat dies eat it. The cat's proteins, the building blocks of carbon-based organisms' muscles, are then recycled into yourself, building your muscles and making you stronger. In addition, all the money you spent on Kitty's food has been going to building the animal's body and sustaining its life. Therefore, when you eat your tasty, precious Kitty, you are in fact recycling and getting a return your investment. Just think of it as raising a cow to eat as a steak. So Recycle your Animals.

You're right "anonymous", that's where I took it from. Those 2 seconds made a big impression on me. The sticker is so Tyler Durden.

I read the previous comments and none of them made much sense. I understand this quote When simon roy said it is so tyler durden the were right I agree, HERE'S why and) YOUR ANSWER:

Okay,........ Basically........... It's arise agaist society, culture but mostly domestication of ANIMALS. It says "recycle your animals" so you should probably kill, breed or go poaching of animals based on what the qoute says.

More deeply... It is so tyler durden because, Tyler Durden believes in freedom of all being inccluding animals. But above that Simon roy said it best when he said "I see it as an attack to the consumer society that we are. Unhappy with the brutal consumption of inanimate objects, some often consider pet animals like a commodity. If you are going to throw away your stupid cat, the least you could do is to recycle it. A terrifying vision, isn't ?"

P.S. I apologize for ranting but it's just who I am.

Marla (or Mister Protagonist, can't remember who) says something about how people fall in love with something so much, like a pet or a dress, and then just forget about it when they don't feel like they need it anymore.

I think the point is that if you don't like your cat anymore, either give it to someone who will actually care for it or just put up with the cat like you would a child. Don't we already have too many post-domesticated feral cats in the world?

Things, especially animals, aren't objects to be looked at, so don't treat them as such. If you like that goddamn yinyang table, make sure you're buying it primarily because you want a PRACTICAL TABLE and not just because you think it looks cool. If you aren't going to use it when it no longer looks interesting to you, don't get it. This even applies to creating relationships with people.

Adding on to Mister Post 4's point: Living things become something completely different when they're dead. They become food, resources, an empty object to attach sentiments to. "One second you're a person, the next you're an object."

Interestingly enough, this contrasts dramatically somewhat with the nature of Tyler's space monkeys. When they're alive, they're nameless objects, robots, mindlessly spewing Tyler Durden philosophy like diarrhea of the mouth and replacing their own identities with facsimiles of Tyler. (An example of Tyler plastering his stupid face on everything, uncannily like your average sellout celebrity.) But when they're dead, suddenly they have a name and an identity.

Hmm.

It means nothing.

Your animals are the same decaying organic matter as everything else, so why not? ^.^

And, since the movie has such a Buddhist theme, it could be referencing sky burial. In Tibet, since it is hard to dig there for graves, and since the body is just meat anyway, the Buddhists leave the body to vultures so that the meat will reenter the cycle of life, rather than just rotting away to dust belowground.

it can also b seen as a further attack on the fashionable folk who bandwagon onto green projects simply because they sound right. In the book the bumper sticker would have fallen under the aegis of Misinformation - much like the "Did you know? you can use old motor oil to water your lawn!" billboard: it forces the occasional thinker to notice how stupid the others around them are. A prescient indictment of what has become the "greensumption" bandwagon of idiots who think that buying a Prius is the environmentally sound thing to do.
