Quebec City will be hosting the
Red Bull Crashed Ice 2006 event this weekend. It's a combination of hockey, downhill ice skate (!!!) and boardercross.
The course is a 400 m downhill ice-track with a vertical of 36 m from start to finish, featuring berms, turns, whoops, jumps and steep chutes. The course starts near the Porte St-Louis and snakes around the fortifications to end at Place d'Youville. The qualifications are Friday, March 3rd and the finals on Saturday, March 4th.
